Thread: Half-Life for the Dreamcast released...

  1. Actually no. It was getting a release outside of Sega and just recently got canned due to this crap.

  2. *Sigh*

I would've liked to have played the *final* version of this port...

Has anyone confirmed the game was ported using WinCE? Very few DC games actually used CE, and from the fairly high-poly ( compared to the original ) models I remember from ODCM ( wasn't it a cover story at one point? ) I doubt the game was using CE. If it was, I wouldn't doubt they had problems getting it to run 100% and that might have something to do with it not seeing an official release.

Blargh, I did not click on Amm's link, I only assumed it housed the ISO of the buggy beta, while the final was floating around IRC.

uh OK, so this company was *maybe* going to release the full version and sell it to a few thousand dreamcast diehards.

but now they arent going to becuase a buggy early beta leaked and about 200 dreamcast diehards d/led it to see a game that never made it public? Do they honestly think they were going to sell a million copies of it, but now a lesser version has been leaked and thats going to cut into thier sales?

Its not like more than half of the people who go through the trouble to find and burn the game arent going to buy the retail version if it ever saw the light of day anyway, this is the DC were talking about here, a DEAD system loved by diehards....
