why god.....why do i play bloodrayne?

okay....so i just killed the "butcher bitch" and this game pisses me off to no end.....yet i keep playing. bear in mind this is the ps2 rev which is a very UGLY game.

the lousiana levels were ugly and boring

during the argentia levels trying to suck the zombies blood was damn near impossible if your fighting more than one enemy (and i dont mean the enemies that can block your attacks). this one instance there were 2 zombies.....2 and i kept hitting the suck blood button when i was like 3 pixels away from this enemy but instead she kept shooting the hook thru that enemy trying to get the one behind him. then i fell thru the flor......ummmm okay.

the animation is stiff and lifeless. that thing where you jump and press another button to break the weak walls is so damn laughable. it just looks pathetic.

in lousiana trying to jump on the power lines.....rediculous. you gotta be spot on even tho she's suppposed to automatically attach to the nearest one.

the bosses? jokes so far. blood rage and then shoot them to death. wow.

so why do i keep playing? its really horrible.

I only played the PS2 version for about 30 minutes, but it seemed fun enough to me. Of course, it wasn't mine, and I wouldn't spend $50 on it, but still...

The game gets a lot better once you get the slow mo abilities, though honestly I didn't find the first act too bad. The final boss for the first act was the hardest boss in the game for me though.

I'm actually playing through Blinx now, which is definitely a bad game, but I keep playing it and even more I'm actually enjoying it for the most part. Even though the game is amazingly crappy.

I have the game, and I think it's a fun little title. I like it. It's not without it's faults, but for what it is it's pretty cool. I had no problem jumping onto the power lines myself.

The first time you get to use the slow-mo ability, when you sneak up on the lone Nazi, wind up and splatter him into a million pieces had me laughing my as off, it was so over the top.

The animation could be better, yes.

I think you keep playing it because it's a guilty pleasure.

I played BloodRayne for a bit at an XBox kiosk, and found it to be fun, passable fare buoyed a bit by a tight-leather clad ultra-sexy dominatrix ass-kicking main character. I wouldn't buy it for $50, but I'd gladly pay $20 or so for it.

And I've just saved Dolemite's pic of the Rayne model to my hard drive for closer perusal.

Someone I know just got this...terrible game. This is why I don't play American/UK (whatever it is) games, right here. The Xbox version is fugly too. Thankfully he also picked up DOAXBV. ;] That game is actually surprisingly deep, but I don't know how long the novelty would last.
