This is true. However, orange a couple years back was a hot colour, and because of this boost in popularity purple was sent to the back of the line. According to my design teacher, who could be totally wrong.

With the exception of the Sakura blossum (which is a pretty well used...and not just Sakura Taisen specific), they both seem pretty different to me.

I'm not sure if you want it to look like a sakura blossom, or any flower for that matter, but if you do I'd suggest adding just a little more detail to it. As it is it gives the impression of a flower (if that's what you want then rock) but you can actually push it a little more with something like *see attached.

Maybe I'm the only one who thinks so, though.
