dude. sbc yahoo is apparently the ONLY compatible service for Xbox Live,...and Sprint's DSL service is anal. won't offer the service if you have a different local phone provider. even earthlink is being teh ghey!
That seems to be your cable provider for New London Connecticut, they have a broadband service but you will need to check with them to see if is available in your area
I HAVE EASTERN CT CABLE AND THEY DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT PPPoE IS! I have been trying to set up xbox live for 2 months now and they are now help. Well I am going to try to configure it now so i can atleast make an account.
Providers are usually no help when it comes to getting consoles online, I was on the phone with Adelphia for like a half hour and still didn't get it resolved... then I checked TNL and someone here was able to help me out with my problem
All providers are 'compatible' with Xbox Live unless they use PPPoE. Even if that's the case, you could always buy a cheap Linksys router for $40-50 that'll do the PPPoE for you. (Unless the Xbox does do PPPoE? I've never had any providers that used it)
AOL doesn't work because it's running through a proxy server for everything. I don't know of any other ISP that does that, and I worked with 80-90 in Texas at one point.
