Thread: In the spotlight...(TNL Interviews you'd ideally like to see)

  1. We are actually going to be featuring developer profiles very shortly...and Treasure is definitely on the list.

Sqoon, you can help too! ^_^

  2. What about interviews with specific figure-heads on specific issues?

For instance: Acclaim and their recent money woes. Next Gen did an interesting interview with the (lead guy... thingie) awhile back. Back in 1996 he had high hopes for Acclaim. I'd like to see what (they) are saying now. It would be an interesting read.

Peter Moore at Infrogrammes: What the hell is going on over there?

  3. Knew I should have thought about this first before replying. How could I have forgotten to mention Jeff Mintner?

Name escapes me at the moment, the Skullmonkeys guy.

Ran a goodle search on Skullmonkeys, did you know that according to one site, Neverhood and Neversoft are the same company? Live and learn.

Doug TenNapel, that's it! Took some searching, too.

As for Infogrames, it's pretty clear that they're hoping to solve all their money woes with the release of Ikaruga. Duh!

Superb! Now give me a few minutes to learn conversational Japanese.

  6. Sucker Punch Productions
    Anyone from the Ico team
    Treasure

  7. I'd like to see one with capcom in reguards to SFA3 and 3rd strike. Discussion on how well they were received, the future of porting to newer systems with online support and maybe even asking how they feel of players being able to go online with their titles over the net. (yes I'm serious)

they should make ports for these games beyond dreamcast, as a customer, I feel cheated since japan got so lucky.
don't wanna tangle with you, I'd rather tangle with him.
I think I'm gonna bash his head in...

    Jeff Minter
    Eclipse Software Design

That about does it for me

Are they trying to resuscitate them? Or are their plans less ambitious? How much backing will the arcade plans recieve? And it'd be nice to learn about any other Atomiswave/Triforce games that are planned.

Anything specific about Dolphin Blue would be great, especially what differentiates it from Metal Slug.

Any info about possible console ports, etc., etc.
Ditto, a interview with Sammy would be nice. Some questions:

Why choose the weakest hardware for their Atomiswave line-up? Could this be a link in why arcade operators aren't impressed despite the economical nature of the unit?

Is the unit built around "DC on a chip" technology?
Do they see Atomiswave as a arcade/consumer system like Neo Geo?

Some info on that unnamed shooter?

What has the SNK staff brought to Sammy and GG in particular (please no strikers)?

Under the Sega merger will Sammy port older Naomi titles to Atomiswave?

The original Army Men kicked all kinds of ass.
