Thread: Sega does it all...

  1. Sega does it all...

    ... robot vacuumes!

Sega revealed today that it has signed a partnership with iRobot to develop an automatic-robot vacuum cleaner dubbed 'Roomba.' Under the terms of the deal, Sega will begin marketing the product in Japan this March for 39,800 yen ($325). According to company representatives, Sega expects to sell approximately 100,000 units of the Roomba in Japan this year. Beyond the futuristic vacuum, both companies are said to be working on other robotic appliances. Specifically, Sega is said to be developing an answer to Sony's robotic pet Aibo with a robot for children boasting full conversation skills.

Buy Yakuza and Oblivion. Help yourself, help TNL.

  2. They need to get busy. Here's the same thing which I saw at Brookstone yesterday. Nifty, but not for 200 bones.

  3. I'm waiting for Sega to get into porn just to hear a woman shout 'Sega!' during the climax.

  6. I think the Brookstone vacuum is the same as the Sega one...they have the same name.

Hell, An Aibo is cool but this is more useful.

  7. Where's the old MS "the only way they wouldn't suck is if they made vacuums" joke when you need it?

    it is the same one.

  10. Robot vacuum? How handy could that possibly be? I imagine it's a self-propelled vacuum that turns around once it hits a wall.
Now if only they would build robots that would play your games for you...
