GBA SP

I'll be picking up a Platinum on 3/23 to match my 12" PowerBook I'll be snagging in May.

WHAT THE HELL?!? How have I never seen anything about this glorious piece of hardware? What rock have i been HIDING UNDER!?!? Warning: Having a girlfriend may significantly remove you from the video game scene, as can being POOR, and away from COLLEGE, without the INTERNET and without your good TNL friends smacking you in the head when you're being STUPIDLY IGNORANT! Fantastic...another THING I have to buy, and I just bought a new GBA because my old one met with an unfortunate accident...GREAT.

Well, GameGizmo just jacked up the price $10 to $139 now, which kind of sucks. But they do have the black model, which I still want the most.

I'd been considering trading in my old GBA for store credit towards the SP, but now I'm thinking I may just keep it as a backup. And the black one looks more and more inviting each time I see it...

Urgh! Such a hard decision Not to mention that since there is only another $95 to the FFT package, a small part of my brain is telling me to order that too. *beats self over head*

I just got my Final Fantasy Tactics Advance SP unit, it looks nice

I can't wait till I get home later to check it out, the box is a lot smaller then I envisioned

Meanwhile, I've had an Afterburner kit for months that I still need to install. I figure with the GBA Player that it won't matter as much if I screw up the install.

Ya know, I've never noticed the trapezoid effect on my Afterburned GBA before.

I'll get an SP when it gets cheap (or if I can find someone to give me some decent cash for my old one)

My GBA SP (Azurite Blue) came in today and it is a sweet piece of hardware. I highly recommend it. Gotta snag the headphone adapter.

With the link cable port being on the top of the system and the cartridge slot on the bottom, I guess the E-Reader is incompatible with the GBA SP. Are there any other hardware or software conflicts with the GBA SP?

Nah, the E-reader works fine, it just plugs into the cartridge slot... you didn't read my impressions did you? The link cable plug on the e-reader was just a pass through.

Nice impressions, bbobb. Stinks about the GBA/GCN cable taking up the entire top of the system. Guess I will use my first GBA as the connection device for the GameCube.
