BMIIDX 2003 Limited Edition Poster/Calender

Hanging on my wall it is The poster itself is HUGE! It's about 38x28 inches and it's nice and shiny, which is why the picture was so hard to take.

So how did I get one?

A SoCal player whos basically known for getting rare, Bemani swag Isao was selling them at the Cyberbeat Nation tourney this past weekend (Thus why I was in LA). So I asked him where he got them in the first place. The bemani arcade down there, Arcade Infinity got a few of them (About 5) and he bought 4 of them to sell back at a higher price (Bastard..not like Jack would care). So that night I went to AI for some Pop N Music 9 (Bad-Fucking-Ass. I played so much that at the end of the night I couldn't close my fist. It's probably the most I've played a music game since IIDX 8th Style's release) and picked up their last poster for about 30 bucks.

Underneath Erika and Celica it says-

"BEATMANIA2DX ANOTHER STYLE"

Which is pretty fitting since all the characters on the poster are their supposed 9th Style clothes. One interesting thing about the girls clothes is that they say "ROOTS" all over, which might be hinting towards something. 8th Style was the big return of the 5-Key artists so I can't imagine what right now.

Under that it's just a black area with all the months and dates for 2003 and the Beatmania IIDX logo.

I just thought the IIDX players around here would like to see the new artwork. I'll poke around and see if anyone has a high-resolution version of the picture. Oh, I almost forgot. It also came with a weird folderish thing featuring the posters artwork, and a sticker with the same pic. Fun stuff I say!

The post office has become the Russian roulette of package delivery lately. Things are usually a week late for me, if they arrive at all, though once in a while a package will actually arrive on time. Sucks.

I know very little about Beatmania, but those character designs are incredible. Who's the artist? And does he have a webpage or anything?

I still find it kind of funny that DDR dropped their characters while Beatmania added them. I think they're more fitting in DDR, m'self, but I can't exactly change that, can I?

Chao: IIDX has had characters since 2nd Style, you just don't ever see them. It's more of a side thing....they're more mascots if anything. The only Bemani game that still seriously uses characters is Pop N Music and you get to pick from almost 200 of them XD!

Hey, does anyone have any pics of Dj Lilith? I just have that one from the konami site (the normal wallpaper sized one), I'm just wondering if anyone has any more =X She's hella cool looking. The character designs are totally awesome......I think I spent a good 2 hours yesterday night looking at all the stuff i could find on them.
