Don't forget, these are the just the january numbers, and as is always brought up, don't include Walmart. Nintendo and Microsoft both claim to have sold 1.5 million units over christmas. So, it's probably not as bad as it seems. The total dissappearance of Metroid is a concern for them, though, especially since Splinter Cell is still going strong. Maybe Nintendo should change "Space Pirates" to "Space Terrorists", and have Samus be an elite member of the United Space of America's special forces. It certainly couldn't hurt.Originally posted by Jimmy Carter
Nintendo is my favorite and indeed, I can admit, they've been raped. The problem stems from their lack of effort in marketing, price warfare and market tactics (i.e. packing-in software).
It is very interesting, however, to see that Nintendo's pack-in ratio is quickly catching up to Microsoft's. I predict that when all is said and done, Nintendo's pack-in ratio will be the best of the two.
Hence the GBA-> GC Adaptor. I'm quite sure Nintendo's hard at work trying to come up with any concievable angle to get GBA owners to buy a Cube.Originally posted by sggg
GBA being so successful has obviously bailed Nintendo out for many years now... but as much as it helps Nintendo's bottom line it does nothing useful for the Gamnecube owner, which seemed to be the point.

) and they need some big titles.
