  1. Infested - A Bad Bad Bad but Funny movie

Infested - If you love ridiculously stupid horror films, this one would be a great choice. Too bad I didnt know about how bad it actually is. I read about it in Fangoria, and from article it didnt sounded as bad, as it turned out to be. So when I saw it on the shelf of my Hollywood Video yesterday, I picked it up, and watched it last night.

It started well, with group of ex-high school friends from 80s, coming back to sort of renunion, after one of their friends dies. After a funeral, they gather up at the house of two of them who got married, for some fun and remembering of good old days, and then they find themselves under attack of mutant flies, that swarm you, get inside your body and turn you into a zombie. Well, as you can see the story doesnt make much sense, and becomes more and more ridiculous as movie progresses. Especially some of revalations at the end.

The acting while decent in the first 20 minutes, got much much worse and wait till you see, the actors when they turned into the fly controlled walking zombies. Some moments had me rolling and laughing hard, such as part when one of the 2 remaining survivors goes on the roof to try to catch signal for the cellphone they have. That has to be seen to be believed Also wait till you see zombies dance to 80s music, and heroes using Stereo speakers to kill the flies !!! And also watch out for THE KING OF THE FLIES

It had few nice gore moments. One of zombie friends gets his throat ripped by crowbar, and later looses the head completely. Another character gets his leg infected by flies, so it was nice disgusting fxs right there, as he tries to get them out of it. But the rest was ridiculous acting, extrememly bad CGI fly fx. Tons of badly drawns bugs fly around, from and into the chracters, none looking convincing or even relatively good. Especially a footage of flies after they got inside one of the characters looked especially bad.

Ex- Pink Power Ranger Amy Jo Johnson stars as a main heroine(girlfriend of dead friend), and she was cute to look at but too bad they didnt show her nekkid in shower scene they had her in She also gets to use her Ranger skills when hitting zombie Zach Galligan(from original Gremlins) with a showel !

At the end, if was very entertaining on cheesy and campy level, and good for some laughs, with the company of friends, but if you looking for a seriuous horror film, or a film that makes some sense, stay away
