IF you just go out and buy it... It retails for several hundred. Which is too much for most.

Layers are important, of course, but to really improve in Photoshop you'll need to practice using layers.

But what about layers? Layers are very essential in Photoshop, you shouldn't overlook them. I mean, that advice you gave is good, but layers really are more important than that.
