Layers, masking, layer blending modes, desaturation, styles, blah blah. Throw it all together and thats how ya do photoshop. Blaine already said it all, so I don't have to repeat anything.

Thats the easiest thing in the world. It's basically all croping and shape tool.

Fireworks is much more akin to Paintshop...it pales when compared to Photoshop.
