Tenchu should have stayed with Acquire.
Rayman 3 should have been an incredible game.
I should be playing Zelda by now.
dolemite: kinda funny that you judge the EGM reviews without reading them. though it did get lower scores than i expected based on my time with it.

T3 is by an entirely different developer than T1&2, because activision wanted someone who would take the series back to the direction T1 went and acquire wasn't interested. so you can't judge 3 on 2 at all. K2 was pretty much founded to develop tenchu 3 for activision, out of staff from various companies. T3 looks pretty good .. i wasn't really interested in the previous games, but i might give this one a try.

There is a 2D version of Rayman 3 in development. Click here for more information on that version. You might also find this article to be interesting.Originally posted by ChaoofNee
If they were smart, they would have killed the Globox shit, brought back Mr. Dark, Betilla the Fairy et al., and turn it back into the rediculously difficult 2D game it always was.

I agree with everything Dolemite said about Tenchu. I crave this game bad!! The demo was fricking great, even without the sprays of blood. Being a freak that I am I even enjoyed Tenchu 2. The part about 3 being really easy kinda scares me though. But if its about the same size as the last two games and the level design is at least cool I'll be fine. This game cant come out soon enough!

I can believe FF origins scored so low... tof the best games in the series (III scored the ninth spot onther top 100 games of all time ater al) an they dont even give it gold... stupid fuckers
what do you mean? FF6 wasn't part of FF origins. What does that game getting 9th in an old top 100 list have to do with anything? The PS release with that game on it did score higher than origins if that makes you feel better.
I thought the scores were generous considering. I suppose I'll use this sentence to add that I wish FF3 was part of origins. =\
Hey, I said you COULD just run though the levels. I was just pointing out little ways the developer tried to discourage that, though none of them are really that big a deal. The game is just much more fun to play with stealth and sneaking around slitting throats. If you just run through the levels (even if you're able to), you're missing the whole point of the game. You have the choice of how to play it. Since it's one of my favorite games ever, I guess I was just grabbing at straws in trying to defend it.Originally posted by rezo
I ran through every single damn level in that game with no problems. Including that boss that knocks you downstairs so that you have to run through the enemies repeatedly to get back to him. If there were people following you to the bosses to cause more trouble, its not to such a degree that it was troublesome. Sneaking around was fun, I played levels like that after beating the game. But I'm wondering if the true ability of a ninja isn't their stealth so much as its their ability to run away from things. It doesn't matter if they see you while you're running. Thats why you have a mask.![]()
As for the boss that keeps knocking you downstairs...yeah, that was a pain in the ass when he did that. However, I got even with him once and knocked HIM downstairs. Of course, then I had to also go downstairs to get him since his A.I. didn't allow him to come back up to get me...![]()
Hmm...and you CAN outrun everyone in the game...but a real man will sneak up behind someone and pull their heart out instead.

2. I've played the Tenchu 3 demo, so I do have an excellent feel for how the overall game will be.
These two reasons allow me to judge the EGM review however I want, in my opinion. However, where did I actually judge it? I said I didn't give a shit what they said, actually. Weird.
Correct, and I'm glad Activision did that, as T1 was awesome and T2 was shit. Tenchu really needed to be taken back to it's roots. If you think you'll like T3 you should go and pick up T1, it's a great game.[

As for the blood sprays in T3, don't worry, the blood's in the full version of the game. As for being too easy, I thought the difficulty of the Tenchu 3 demo was about on par with Tenchu 1, so I'm not worried. Seriously, this is one of my most wanted games ever. Can't wait to play as Ayame and the Monk dude.

Whats is it with all the magazine reviews lately, so eager to call games too easy?
The demo had moderate difficulty, and original Tenchu wasnt a hardest game ever, so I'm sure that there is nothing wrong with Tenchu 3 difficuly, and reviewer is exagurating(sp?) it a bit.
Maybe magazine reviewers are starting to get tired of the "games are getting easier" conspiracy that ECM always whined about. Maybe they want more jacked-up difficulties.Originally posted by Despair
