"We keep hearing this rumour, and people keep asking this question. Here is one answer, from Norway: "It says that a double disc theatrical version will come (to Norway anyway) on 4.august.
The special extended edition and collectors box will come out 3.november." Similar news has come in from people elsewhere working in the video rental/sales business, though one shop got 'June' as the DVD release date: "I am a Video store manager, and I just received a list of when the Oscar nominated films will hit video. Two Towers is listed for June. I called my supplier to verify this, since Fellowship hit in August, and she said that as far as they know, that is accurate.""

Interesting. Hopefully it comes out early Summer and not late; but who knows.

All I know is, it won't be out next month, and that's a shame.

I have my eye on the special edition and it's gonna be a long time if I have to wait till november

I'm sure the SE will probably vome out in November again. For Christmas time and packed with a free ticket to the movie again.

Well, I will wait till Special Extended edition comes out, hopefully Late Fall, and pick it up. No reason to rush and get just regular version.

For the Fellowship I bought the first version and then traded it in and got the extended version but I'm just gonna wait for the extended version to come out of TTT. November is a long time away though

I guess I'll just have to rent it to watch it again before I can afford to buy it.
