I love castlevania
I am happy to hear theres a new one coming
id prefer it on Cube but ill take any Vania i can get
Eh, I thought you said it to be controversial, like you would prefer something like Castlevania 64 over SOTN. Since it's a remake of the first game, I'm glad they're doing it in 3D as well. Maybe we'll get something as good as Maximo.

With the move to 3D my interest in this title has halved. I've gone from basically dancing around the room to looking forward to it, so it's not all bad, but a 2.5D Castlevania is what I was hoping for as the most realistic compromise between the pure 2D game I want and Konami's hope of selling it to more than us 2D fans.
I'll keep an eye on it and I've high expectations, but the thrill is gone.

Yeah, if it sucks in 3D, then I won't be happy, but a 3D remake could be something fresh and exciting, while a 2D remake would be the same damn thing we've played hundreds of times.Originally posted by Green

I still say Castlevania Legacy of Darkness rules.
I'm all for PS2-level 3D graphics for a Castlevania game. It'll be a high enough polygon and texture count to look very nice, unlike the ugly N64 games. And with this game being under good direction, I have faith that it will be a smooth transition over to 3D. As long as its up to par, or bettering Rygar, DMC & MGS2 in terms of graphics/gameplay, then I have no problems.
The only thing I want them to do is hurry up and finish it. Its been WAY too long without a new and GOOD console Castlevania game.
3D is just fine, as long as Igarashi learned something from Rygar's combat system.

I agree. I think though, that it would it be cool to add in a multiple targeting system and some multiple/upgradable whips and gear.Originally posted by StriderKyo

I'd like to see some cool armor and clothing add ons that actually show up and if a character has an Alucard/Juste aftershadow it would have a cool 3D effect a bit like Shinobi's. If it's fully 3D I'm really wondering how they can pull it off. Ahhh the possibilites they could implement.![]()
What else has the SOTN team made? 3D-wise I mean.
