Any real video game sports fans here?

I like the fake sports games they used to make, like Double Dribble, Blades of Steel, Tecmo Bowl, and Ice Hockey. All these new "simulations" bore me to tears.

I'm a fan of sports games, though I've seriously cut down on the number of sports titles I'll buy. I currently own High Heat Baseball 2004 and NBA 2K3 (aside from a smattering DC sports games that I got cheap). However, with online play, I can see myself getting back into them. I'm dying for another NHL '94. Hell, I'll even take NHL '98. Gimme the loot! Gimmie the loot!

I'm not much of a sports game fan, but I really enjoy Neo Turf Masters and Taito's Hat Trick Hero S (Saturn). In HTHS, if you have the Super Shot enabled you can crush the goalie's guard and send him flying into the net with the ball... good as a desperation move to keep your winning streak alive if the time is running out and you're behind by one point.

I like Footie and Rugby. That's really it. Oh, and Haialai (sp?).

I've only been into a couple series over the years, NBA2k and Virtua Tennis. Tennis 2k2 is my favorite sports game of all time. The four player mode is nearly unmatched in mutliplayer fun, and it's non-gamer and newbie friendly.

I'm a big sports gamer. Football, Soccer, Hockey, Baseball, I usually play them all every year a new one is released. I'd have to say right now though that Soccer, the Fifa series in general, is actually my fav sports game, it doesnt get boring nearly as fast as the others do.

And I think that even if Pro Wrestling is fake, the games are played as though its not, so it should be considered as being real sports games.

games weren't saturated with all the uber-realism they strive for today...

I have the NBA package, and NBA Street2 is my second most anticipated game of March.

The only sport I watch with a passion is hockey. It's all about the New York Islanders.

Sports games I enjoy quite a bit. NBA 2K3, Madden 2003, Hot Shots Golf 3, and NHL 2002 are some of my favs. I'm planing on picking up NHL 2K3 this week.....I need a new hockey game, especially since NHL 2003 did nothing for me.
