Not sure if any of you have watched the ongoing Saga of "Donahue" on MSNBC, but it has been quite hilarious.

Drudge has ridiculed the man for his basement ratings since the show premeired and now, it seems, the final nail has been hammered in. According to Drudge, the show is being cancelled.

I find this to be quite funny.


"Phil Donahue's primetime talk show run on MSNBC has ended--effective immediately, according to industry sources. In the meantime, the network plans to extend Lester Holt's 'Countdown: Iraq' for an extra hour in the 8pm EST slot..." - From The Drudge Report, will add more later.

I dislike Phil for one single reason: His interview style. The way he condescends others who don't share his view, and even stoops to calling names bothers me to no end. I've never had a problem with him being liberal, but he wasn't doing it intelligently, rather he was doing it confrontationally. I'm glad he's gone.

MSNBC is making a good move. Out with the loser, in with the biggest ratings grower in talk radio at the moment -- Mike Savage. O'Reilly is like a shrill poodle when compared to this guy.

Of course, they could give Savage a good timeslot, but their intelligence only seems to go so far...

Now is that fair reporting or guiding peoples toughts and towing the government line.
CNN just like all the other media in the US has constantly been talking about war and when it might take place, they never investigated why war would be necesarry and just like all other US media they swallowed and tugged the government line without any opposition whatsoever.
War is good for a commercial network so why would they.

Over here oure news services are NOT comercial entities, the BBC works independently and its NOT profit driven, neither are France2, VRt, ZDF or any other so no dilution of the message and fairer reporting.
If you honestly belief that CNN is LIBERAL in its reporting just becouse its former crackpot CEO is you dont understand the system of market economics behind the news INDUSTRY wich despite liberal figureheads is as conservative as can be.
If you think CNN is liberal in its reporting for the content they deliver I pity youre outlook on the world.
