Thread: Kirby's Air Ride

  1. Kirby's Air Ride

    http://www.gamesarefun.com/cgi-bin/n...6179475,34556,
    Nintendo announces Kirby's Air Ride!
Nintendo of Europe, surprisingly, released the first two screens of Kirby's Air Ride, the GameCube update of the cancelled Nintendo 64 game. In Kirby's Air Ride, Kirby and his friends race through several areas, collecting items that should be familiar to fans of the series. What will be improved in the GameCube version is unknown, but the graphics look like they've received a moderate facelift; nothing particularly impressive, though. We'll have more on the game soon, so check back!

Sqoon probably got these on the headlines before I got em here.=\

  2. I SWEAR this was announced when Gamecube was launched. Either that or I'm having Deja Vu.

  3. and Nintendo "supposed" to be going after the more teen/mature market? this is what they come up with? pretty lame

What's up with the Zelda hat? haha, it's funny.

I think they're going for a more broader audience, including younguns and teens alike.

Agreed. But really, who gives a crap so long as it's fun? Just because it's not loaded with "mature" themes like blood the like doesn't mean it's "lame". Nintendo has never been one to put out a lot of mature or even teen rated games and I highly doubt they ever will be. Could Nintendo make a wonderful teen or mature rated game game? Probably. But what's the point of dwelling on it when you know you aren't going to get it and they're "E" rated games are some of the best available?

So yeah, looks like Kirby could be fun but hopefully the graphics will be given more of a facelift. The new 1080 game was supposed to be a N64 game originally as well (I beleive) and it's not lookin' too good.
I thought you were gay.... i guess not.

It looks great. I can't wait to play it and get asked "How old are you?" when I buy it.

  7. I wonder why the N64 version was cancelled in the first place? HAL is top-notch, so I expect this one to be stellar.

I think you mean N64 I swear, I remember seeing shots of this back even before the freaking '64 launched.
Buy Yakuza and Oblivion. Help yourself, help TNL.

  9. Those screenshots remind me of a combination between Iggy's Wreckin Balls and Snowboard Kids 2.
