I'd love to see the video of the 70-hit Ibuki combo.

Does anyone have any Capcom vs. SNK 2 videos?
The player you're speaking about is my friend Ohjay. He's like the James Chen of the East Coast. He'd easily be one of the best players if he exploited the nuances which make Third Strike so dominating on high-level play.

John Gordon, Eddie Lee, and Ricky Ortiz are pretty much at the top of the elite chain....

Don't hate on the Urien player man. Sure it looks old to you, but hell it's effective (everyone at Evo was quite impressed, I believe there's a video showcasing how he abused Team USA in the Evo DVD).

Anyways, the reason why it doesn't work is because the domestic version was tweaked. The JPN edition allows you to do some tricks, but there was actually a second version of Third Strike released which we of course never got to enjoy on any platform. Though you could bend the rules using the Extra Options menu and tweak the parameters to your liking.

  2. Actually the Urien player was exploiting something in the JPN version of 3s when he was at Evo2K2. I don't think FAS crossover works in US version.

The clip 88mph posted is just one match of a larger tournament called Cooperation Cup. You can find the entire tournament on #gamecombos EFnet. There are always people serving up really good vids, anyone with a slight interest in fighting games and other games in general would do good to visit the channel. I'm also a server too!
If my memory of her has an expiration date, let it be 10,000 years.

  3. DAYYYYAAMMNN!!!

I had no idea Makoto could be played like that. She's my favorite character in SF3:TS, but alas I suck big time with her.

I don't hate it is just I see so many ppl surprise for a tactic that is 3 years old that's all

Yup, but dude - there are players in SRK still asking how to pull of Sakura V-Ism combos; or even other tactics for MVC2. The tactics regardless of age don't apply..the fact they work is what counts. And not everyone is aware of the info which you've obviously been aware of for so long...

I still respect ya Mr. Ryu

  6. Sheesh...They can fight.
Freedom is a road seldom travelled by the multitude...

  7. Thanks for sharing. That was great!

  8. That crowd was funny as hell. Sounded like football spectators or something.

Question for those in the know about SF3:3rd. How would you rate the skill used in that match on a scale of 1-10? I unfortunately haven't seen an expert SF3 match since 2nd, and I didn't really find anything particularly impressive or enlightening about this one (except for Makoto. Wow). Keep in mind that I'm familiar with some of the techniques used in the match, like Remy's multiple LoVs and K-throws, and most of the Gouki and Urine ( ) combos.

The only reason I posted this was because of the Makoto player.

Very nice... I wasn't too impressed with much else.

  10. I see. In that case you didn't disappoint.

EDITED because my post made no sense!
