Hmmmmmm...Bummer, good luck.
Cornea transplants are common. We donated our grandpa's to a young woman when he died.

Freedom is a road seldom travelled by the multitude...
No big deal really, contacts should still be fine for you until your old enough when TriFoclas aren't uncommon. No laser or radial surgery for you though.
And I wouldn't hold out for a cornea transplant either, they're really iffy and usually reserved for blind or near blind people.
I have crappy vision myself and very narrow eyelids with extra long lashes so I don't even have the option of contacts. The best thing about glasses though is that I get to destroy the stereotype that peole who wear them are smart.![]()
I wish I could get laser surgery, but I don't think it can be performed on people with bad astigmatisms.Originally posted by Rhydant
you can transplant corneas?
couldnt this be fixed via some sort of Laser surgury?
I wear soft contacts at the moment, but with this condition gas permeable (hard contacts) are usually used to apply pressure to the cornea so it doesn't get worse...or something. No big deal really, contacts should still be fine for you until your old enough when TriFoclas aren't uncommon. Good luck adjusting Rich. Although it doesn't sound too bad. I'm pretty sure that you shouldn't go blind and just about everything else vision-wise should be fixable with the use of glasses or contacts.
I thought this thread was about a newly-discovered dinosaur from the title...
