    Why don't you?

  5. Sometimes.

I did for Shadowrun SNES, that was a decent game.

I have all the CPS2 Roms, but no desire to play them. I think I erased them, actually.

  6. I don't emulate and I have no desire to do so.

Because I'm sitting here with a 4+ year old piece of crap computer. I managed to get some snes and Megadrive emulators up and running which was pretty good to look up games but downloading Mame was a pain in the ass, truth be told I suck when it comes to computers. It just seemed to advanced to get it up and running so maybe its not the computer but me, I'll look into it someday as I really need to check out Guwange.

  8. I definitely enjoy emulation. I love playing some old mame roms on my PC. I play other things as well, like nes, snes, neogeo, etc. but at the same time, if these games get re-released I will always buy classic compilations as well. Truth be told , I'd rather play the games on the real systems, but with my PC, its as easy as a click of the mouse to fire them up as opposed to digging out my old systems to play. Plus the emulation scene keeps many games from being lost forever in memory. I am thankful for it and for the creators. I just hope this thread doesn't turn into a typical "hard-core" pissing contest. If you enjoy it, cool, if not, don't do it. Just don't rag on the ones that do and call them "pirates". I'd like to hear about peoples experience with various emulators and such. Also, if people are looking for some old goodies, they should post them on her. Perhaps we could all help one another out. Good day to all!!

  9. Yes, but only old stuff.

  10. When I moved far from home I could only pack what I could fit in my car.. so Dreamcast and Saturn came with me, but the other systems are in boxes at my parents house. So, yes I play those older games on the PC now. It's not quite as fun but I don't mind and I don't have any dilemma about it and in some ways its nicer being able to use a Saturn controller (via PC Magic Box)...

As for current systems (errr.. GBA).. I have tried the occasional game to see if it's worth buying, and thanks to that I bought a great number of games I probably would not have taken a chance on, such as Klonoa, Kuru Kuru Kurinen, Konami Krazy Racers, Megaman Zero, Denki Blocks, Super Monkey Ball, Greatest Nine... I never actually play the games tho. Just a quick test to see if it's any good. I don't want to spoil the experience. All told I have 18 GBA games and that's a LOT for me to buy in 14 months...

Overall I have mixed feelings about emulation. For honest people I think its a useful and nice thing. It gives people access to more older and obscure games, which is nice.. and personally it has turned me on to so many games and in the end probably cost me thousands of dollars because it make me want to many more games that I otherwise would never know (sorta like demos)... but on the other hand, I truly hate pirates and people who don't buy current games.. people who burn games or play GBA games on PC make me really angry because they are screwing over developers. My g/f's brother had some burned PC games and when I saw them I was so angry I was tempted to snap the discs in half... but I didn't because I didn't want to start a problem. I did encourage her to do it though.
