Thread: My supergun

  1. Slugger thats a nice looking setup ya got there.

Makes my neo look real boring.

Now you can finally enjoy the insane bliss of slug 3...enjoy!

  2. Wow.. very nice.

I think I may try my hand at a Supergun over the summer. Modding my PS2 and upgrading my PC are my current priorities.

Edit: Oh, I was just wondering, do other consoles look exceptionally good on RGB monitors? What's the best quality monitor to get? (Aside from the Apple/Sony)

  3. All consoles that can output RGB look best in it As for monitors, there are so many out there its hard to say these are best, but Commodore (esp the 1084) are easy to find in thrift shops for very cheap and they look quite nice. Bigger isn't really better unless you play alot of multiplayer games, because pixelation becomes more visible as screen size increases. I think the optimum size is between 12" and 20" for viewing most games (in my opinion).

  4. Neat. That size range would fit perfectly on my shelf anyway.

good...i knew i had a good reason to pick up a 15" RGB monitor last week...i just thought it was the cool tnl thing to say you played you games on one. didn't know it was functional

  6. for the record, XRGB units are great if you live in a closet sized apartment in Japan. If space isn't an issue, get a real RGB monitor, please.

  7. Just to clarify (since I’m something of a newbie at this), the PCB boards are the games and a different type board that has slots (1,2,4, or 6, right?) is used for MVS games. Is this correct?

  8. PCBs: All in one. The game and the custom hardware are on one board, ready for play.

MVS: MVS carts do indeed require additional hardware. There are many variations as noted here - www.hardmvs.com

If you have a supergun, a one slot MVS board will do fine. If you have a cabinet, you might want something more than that.

  9. Thanks for the link and info. Are there any power issues with MVS carts or do they require the same as (most) PCBs?

  10. same juice as all JAMMA stuff
