Thread: Do you like the new Capcom, or the old Capcom more?

  1. my bad on the castlevania's i thought i read a post saying that th vanias' were capcom, guess i misread it or something.

  2. cApcom just isn't the same without the arcades. PN03, VJ, and Killer 7 restore some of my confidence, though.

Don't bother--just wait a couple months and get Super Castlevania EX Plus Turbo Dash Alpha: 4th Impact 2nd Remix: Guy

  4. (:3 Good ol' Kidnemo...)

I like the Capcom that gave me Megaman, all those good Disney NES games, and Little Nemo.

I like the Capcom that gave me Breath of Fire I and II, the MvC 2, SFA3, and Vampire Savior.

But... Best of all I like this new artsy "we wanna be different" Capcom that gave me BoFQ, One Piece Mansion, BoF IV, Megaman Battle Network, The Misadventures of Tron Bonne, and Megaman Legends 2. It just seems like, for the first time in a while, they're actually trying to be new, spiffy-fresh, and different.

(actually... I just want to test/showoff my new avatar)

    Donk

  7. IMHO, Apples and Oranges

  8. I have no problem with the "new Capcom", for the most part. They're making lots of action/horror games, which I love. Their games are almost always top-quality, be they 2D or 3D. No matter what, their games, old or new, always have that "Capcom feel". They've evolved, that's all, but their still Capcom, no doubt. I've never seen a company that was all mainstream and yet hardcore at the same time. I mean, in the last few years they released a 2D Strider 2 and The Misadventures of Tron Bonne...can't get more hardcore than that. I love Capcom.

I wish they'd make more handdrawn 2D games, however. Another Darkstalkers game would be welcome.

Dolemite, the Bad-Ass King of all Pimps and Hustlers
Gymkata: I mean look at da lil playah woblin his way into our hearts in the sig awwwwwww

  9. I like them both, I'd like to see some fusion titles though, old-style gameplay with more modern graphics or vice-versa (kinda like shattered soldier)
