Thread: No Halo 2 in 2003

  1. The Invisible War is confirmed for 2003 on Xbox. No suicide here
Buy Yakuza and Oblivion. Help yourself, help TNL.

  2. Halo 2 was gonna be my reason to buy a XBOX this year... looks like that's not gonna happen now...
What was wrong with halo 1? Halo 1, Gun Valkyrie, MSR, JGR, PDO were enough to draw me. Along with that there was morrowind (yeah I know it's available on pc but mines too slow), game like Dues Ex 2 and Fable to look for in the future and Splinter Cell (multiplatform now but still enough to have drawn somebody to get a system when it was released) etc

Man you guys are missing out on some great games. I know it may not have the largest lineup but what is there is enough to make the system worth getting whether halo2 is ready or not.

Ah, I love it when an in-joke that I actually get is cracked.
I knew someone had to get that.

Hopsital and flaming ninjas...what's not worth waiting for?

*Note: Game does not actually include flaming ninjas in a hospital

You forgot about the helicopters. Wow, I'm going to have to renew XBOX Live by next year. Is it going to be another 50 bucks? I'm gonna treat this like an Orta situation and bear the delay.

I guess the Official Xbox Magazine is gonna have to hold on to Halo a bit longer... and add 4 more months' worth of Halo 2 previews.
HA! HA! I AM USING THE INTERNET!!1

There were so many things they could have added. Then it would make the wait for the seqel much easier. Or they could do a Konami and just rerelease a special edition with more stuff than in the original. Like a directors cut. It would include ten new levels, a few new weapons, multiplayer modes, more vehicles etc basically a champion edition.
But you see; the special edition would only be available to japan and would never see stateside release. Cause the three people that care about Halo in Japan are so much more 1337 than the millions of fans of the series in America. Such is the way of the industry.

  7. MGS did have major problems, I found. Nothing was explained too much and, overall, the game seemed like a cop out of the first, without the innovative boss fights like that psychic guy or the sniper battle with Wolf.

  8. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't their most anticipated titles. Xbox seems to be leaving alot of 'hits' for years on end. They have some great titles like PDO, GV and Splinter Cell, but none of them were as enthralling as I'd like. Although I haven't played PDO so I should go rent that game.

I hope something hard drops. Like Psychonauts, maybe that'll be good. I think they'll rely on Project Gotham 2 for Christmas 2004. History says that racing games don't really sell systems, outside of Gran Turismo of course

  9. Damn, that sucks. But w/ a game so far away, and with so little shown, its tough to get my hopes up just yet.

On the bright side, at least they're telling us now; as opposed to August.
You probably don't think I'm a very nice guy...
