Unfortunately I don’t think it is… I didn’t get to check out every part of the disc though. I only had time to watch the movie. There’s a chance, but it’s extremely small.

doesnt seem worth it to get the 2 disc edition then eh? i mean the all region version supposebly has a DTS track. this is getting complex.
Well, the version you bought seems to have most of the sound stuff you'd want (if the audio stuff is important to you). Aside from that, no extras. I'm assuming picture quality is fine.
The region 2 extras are great. The first disc has a "Music Chapter" selector so you can go right to any of the wonderful music. I loved the music so I found this feature pretty neat. There is a lot of stuff on disc 2. There were many little featurettes and behind the scenes type things. There was one on the CG used in the film - very interesting. There is a short film (possibly more than one actually, the description I posted earlier said "short films" and I didn't get to explore all of it) too. I didn't get to watch it all, but the beginning had sort of a redone opening (when Peco is on the bridge). Very intriguing. There are also deleted scenes. Probably some other stuff too, I didn't get to check it all out. The booklet is spiff looking, though it's more of a foldout. I like the reversible cover too.
I'd say the region 2 is worthwhile if you truly loved the movie because of the extras and overall sleekness. It’s the best version out there. If you just sort of casually liked it then you might not feel it's worth the money.
If you did decide on the region 2 perhaps you could get some of what you paid for the all-region back via eBay. Not sure how much it’d sell for, just an idea.

EDIT: I neglected to mention that most of the extras are unsubbed. You probably knew that already though. That short film I mentioned may have had subs... I really can't remember. Perhaps some other things too. They're still interesting and enjoyable though, even without subs. The only thing that would be 100% useless without them would be the commentary.
i bought the dvd, but it's not all region. bah, it's straight up region 3, not region 3 which was really an all region disc. guess i need a pro action replay for my ps2 now.
