Farscape: FRELLING SCI-FI!!!

2 episodes left until the "end" of one of (if not THE)the best sci-fi series ever created. These last 9 episodes have been incredible, and have shown how far the show has come on so many levels. And some dickhead(s) at Sci-Fi just had to kill it. Moiya and Pilot are in a hundred pieces, boxed up in a warehouse God knows where. Ben Browder is back in the States, trying to find work. So, barring a feature film, the series is dead.

Any other Scapers here? Anyone else been enjoying these bittersweet final episodes?

Great series but I hear it's struggling ratings wise. You also have to take into account studio politics, which is what did B5: Crusade in. This is only one of the few great series' that Sci-Fi has cancelled though, Invisible Man for instance was a pretty clever show. I for one was pleasently surprised at how good it was. Either way I think it's a good idea that they end a series with the audience wanting more, cus if they bled it dry, like they'd rather do, we'd have the last season or so of Sliders.

Ah, excellent series indeed, sadly my intrest hasn't really been there for this season, but man, tonights episode was very cool. Did you see the full page Farscape ad in Variety Magazine several months ago asking for Scifi to reair the series? A bunch of fans pooled their cash together to get their message across, and when I first saw it, I was blown away by their dedication.

Anyway, to answer your question, yeah, I'm a fan, and this show definetly ranks at least in the top 5 best scifi shows of all time.

I just hope the series finale doesn't suck.

But stunts like that hardly ever work. It was done with Freaks and Geeks and the show was still cancelled, and I think it was tried with My So Called Life aswell.

The series finale will suck because when it was filmed, it was the season finale. So the series will end with no closure.

I love the show. The Scarran character/tech designs are so impressive. The scifi channel execs have stated that it has become so "niche" that a lot of potential viewers can't easily get into the show and I partially agree with that. i don't like Stargate but it's less character/background story intensive than Farscape hence it's growing popularity. I'm gonna miss Farscape but I hope they'll do one of those 2 hr movie specials like Babylon 5 or Alien Nation to bring us closure. I hope they still release everything on DVD though.

do you notice how boring most of the shows are on sci-fi are? shame they had to resort to doing this and give us re-runs of everything we DON'T care to watch. I also don't know what makes them think Alien Nation is such a big thing, but I'd rather have babylon 5 back on with farscape, star trek (not voyager and enterprise), andromida, and lexx on during the daily hours (1am sucks, I'm sleeping)
