To work, or not to work, that is the question

A friend of my dad offered me a job for the summer. I?d be on his work team for road work. I?d have to do stuff like be the flag man, and perhaps shovel asphalt. It would be like 7 a hour, 400 a week.

It would be in Mississippi, during our hot summers, but it is 400 in my pocket. Any suggestions?

I can have a really good job lined up that pays well this summer, but I just sit at a desk all day. Pays too well to pass up though, but I would rather work outside.

Hard to answer... It depends on what the other options are (your qualifications, the local job market, etc)... Also, your personality and how you feel about manual labour and working outside....

well, if all I have to do is flagging Ill probably do it. 7 bucks a hour for being god of the road. Like a God I would judge who may pass, and who may not.

But I'm not really into moving hot asphalt in the hot mississippi sun.

Sounds like a bitch to me. Even if it's okay, you may get burned out pretty quick at 57 hours a week.

ah, id pretty much be one of those assholes that make you stop while your going somewhere for road work.

That sounds like decent mony but the physicality of the work doesn't sound so pleasant... I work at a Deli and we have sugar water on tap and theres all the food I can eat... I'm so spoiled at my job...
