Thread: bleemcast beta leaked

  1. I'll try and post a working nero image tomorrow, I know how bad disc juggler can suck
    Thankyousir.

  2. Here is a WORKING nero image of bleemcast:
    bleemcast.nrg

I did test this nero image and it did work. First I tried gunners heaven (which didnt work), but thunderforce V worked beautifully as someone mentioned above. Maybe I should have made a new thread since so many couldn't get the disc juggler to work, but what the hell.

Read my mini guide below if you aren't very familiar with this stuff.

    1. This is a nero image, so naturally you are going to want to use Nero Buring Rom. You can download a free trial version if you don't have it- the newer the better.

    2. When you load the image into nero, make sure that the disc finalized option is checked AND the DAO option is selected (don't use the nero wizard if that is what loaded up). I don't think it defaults to disc at once (DAO), so make sure this is selected.

    3. Most importantly: regardless of how good you think your burner is make sure you burn no faster than 4X speed (the slower the better). The image is extremely small anyways.

    4. Just as important as #3 above is to make sure you aren't using shitty/cheap media. Although the dreamcast works with cd-rs, they do cause a lot of wear and tear on them. The best way to reduce this wear and tear, and to increase the chances of the disc being read properly, is by burning slow and using good media. TDK, Imation, Verbatim, Memorex, etc. are all good brands to use. The dreamcast was not intended to read cd-r media, which is also why I advise not to play backups on it.

    5. If the above didn't work, you might want to try dummying the image file.

This thing is pretty damn amazing, but I wish gunners heaven worked with it...

you can almost smell sony's lawsuits being loaded into the catapult as we speak..

i'd hurt myself if this thread brought any trouble to TNL..

i'm gonna go ahead and stop posting in hopes that this thread sinks away quickly now.
MK2 on XBLA plz - let the unfolding of gameplay begin!!

There's 7 billion message boards talking about this. The worst Sony can do is give a warning. It's ok.
I took all your French Toast.

  5. Ah crap. Said Nero image gives me the same error.

I'll just assume that I'm screwed. Or, I'll force a friend of mine to burn it.

    Nope.

The beta is 30% complete, not even at the level of the version they displayed at E3.

Anyone else try out Xenogears? Holy shit, those enhanced graphics look great. The characters look out of place because of how good everything else looks...

Some of you that are reporting games as not working might not be trying hard enough. Sometimes the menus don't show up or other similar problems occur, but the game can still be played. For example: after loading a level in Tony Hawk 4, a silent black screen shows up. Just press A, and the game will start, even though it looked like it was locked up. And by the way, Tony Hawk 4 runs well

For people with burning problems: I had the same problems. Solution? Use http://cdirip.freeyellow.com/cdi2nero099.zip on the cdi file, and convert it to a TAO image (not hard at all, there's only one other option ). Burned with Nero, worked fine for me.

If any ex-Bleemcast staff, or those with the file in their possession, are reading this could you please "leak" a version that approaches 100%! Thanks in advance.

While you're at it, could you please "leak" a version that plays PS2 games! Thanks in advance.

Even if they did post here, they wouldn't leak it. Go to the DC Emulation forum link above, read that whole thing. They aren't interested in dealing with the reprecussions of giving out a better version or talking to indie developers about it. Your best bet is that someone else can get a PSX emu working just as well on the DC -- given present efforts out there, this is doubtful.
