Thread: Question Your 'faith?'

  1. Question Your 'faith?'

Has there ever been a point where you questioned the 'point' of playing games? Ever wake up one day and see yourself on the other side of that line you swore you'd never cross, where a love and hobby becomes a fanatical obsession? Heck, ever get too jaded and contemplate getting out of this gig?

I'd bet that everyone's done it at least once...

  2. I know this will be the last generation of consoles I get. It's just a hobby to me, and they come and go.

  3. Several times, I guess my interest has faded but it feels pretty good.

  4. There are times my interest in games fades completely, and I had gone weeks at a time without playing them. Then, all of a sudden, I just pick up a controller and before I know it, have just finished a 5 or 6 hour gaming binge with red, tired eyes and a growling stomach.

And so it is, that I just keep on playin', 20 years and still goin' strong

  5. I lost interest in them for a few weeks last June, but other than that, nope.

  6. Nope

  7. I know I won't play any games today and if my latest game shipment doesn't arrive finally, I probably won't play any tomorrow either. It's not quitting though, it's just taking a break. I doubt I'll ever give it up completely, though I'm not planning on buying many new games in the future. Still got plenty to play through.

  8. I've been in a gaming funk for about the last month or so.

Intead of forcing myself to play games, I've just really not played anything and have been doing other stuff...

I'm thinking Pokemon and Zelda will get me back to normal.

  9. It happened to me, and sooner or later,

    IT WILL HAPPEN TO YEEUUUWW!!

  10. I'm already in that zone. I only play games when I'm really, really bored. And at that, I own about 4 games total for my PS2...

I need some things that'll interest me more, so I have to grab some fighting games and the long anticipated Gran Turismo 4 later this year. That'll help me get back into the swing of things.
