Azumi - New Samurai Action from creators of Versus

Check out these 2 trailers for upcoming Japanese samurai action film, Azumi. Directed by Ryu Kitamura, who previously directed cult classic Versus, this film looks like it filled with some great and bloody swordfighting battles and ninja action.

I think its coming out this May in Japanese theaters, with dvd release to follow soon after.

Awesome! You know if you hadn't said this was a Kitamura film, I would be able to tell--it has his signature all over it...the film looks very good--colorful and fun and of course the right amount of violence. Let's cross our fingers that the official R2 DVD will have subs like Versus does...
