Thread: Bleem PC

  1. Bleem PC

Any of you guys use bleem PC?

I was wondering how well it plays most PSX games. Also does it work on Windows XP?

    thanks

  2. Bleem for PC pretty much sucked ass. There are some games that work perfectly fine with it, but a good portion either don't work or have major issues. Go with Virtual Game Station. It has extremely high compatibility, because it does exactly what it sets out to do: emulate the playstation. You don't have to bother with plug-ins either. Epsxe is another good alternative, but I prefer VGS to that, in almost all aspects.

Truer words have never been spoken.

  4. I tried it few times, but the experience was awful !

  5. Thanks for the tip , has anyone run Virtual Game Station on XP?

  6. i know theres a hack out there somewhere to get VGS to play on xp....lemme do some checking around. might still have it bookmarked.

  7. that would be great

  8. I got a copy of bleem for free as a "Review copy" back when I worked for an emulation site, and I still feel ripped off. I've never found a game that it plays properly. I'm told One is the only game it plays without major glitches.

Anyway, VGS is pretty good, especially if you have a slower system, but if you're comp is fairly recent (like 1Ghz ormore) ePSXe is worlds better at this point. Plays every one of my games flawlessly (though a couple need the settings tinkered with to get them to run right). It's kinda hard to set up, but it runs in XP, and it's alot better than anything else.

The thing with ePSXe is that it's only as good as the plugins you use. If you go for ePSXe use the following:

P.E.Op.S. GPU for graphics (non accellarated, more accurate, Use PEte's Direct 3D for enhanced video that's less accurate)
Eternal SPU (Amazingly accurate sound that blows away VGS).

ePSXe's compatibility is throughj the roof now. I've not found a single game it doesn't play better than
VGS does, assuming your graphics card is up to the task. FMVs look a bit cleaner in VGS though, and VGS is less fuss to set up.

  9. ePSXe is the shiet, just make sure you've got the best drivers.
