Yea, and there was only one because Capcom had DIVERSITY in their new characters to CvS 2.

Because there's characters in Rival Schools that would be stupid to use, like Edge, and the main kid who's name I forgot cause I'm very hungry, who's a Ryu ripoff. Same with Hideo. And the nurse. Same with the sports team characters. But characters like Hyo, Daigo, Akira, Kyosuke, Gan, Hinata, Roy, Tiffany, Raizo (the principal) those would ALL work. Easily. Maybe you just haven't played enough of it.

And by Rival Schools, I mean the highly superior Project Justice. Daigo would own anyone in this game. It's enough of a Capcom staple to add characters from it, because apparently Capcom thinks so as well because Kyosuke was in CvS 2.

Kenshin, I was wondering about Final Fight characters in class today, and also thought of Carlos, heh.

I also would have liked to have seen Haggar, or Cody (Not the trash SFA 3 one... the only thing wrong with that game imo).

And for people saying you need to have some returners to make it attractive... SF Alpha 1 and 2 didn't have too many returners, and it did fine, and Garou only had ONE (and hughly changed Terry at that), and we all know how that game fucking owns.

Yeah I love the Rival Schools/Project Justice. The characters are just really fun and not to mention well designed.

The only characters I wish would be in that that aren't already are would be: Alex, K', Karin, Khushnood Butt, Leona Heidern, and Zaki. I would also switch out some characters - Guile for Charlie, Hugo for Haggar, Kasumi Todo for Whip, Genjuro Kibagami for Charlotte or Jubei Yagyu.

Eh, I could go on and on, but I for one am pretty happy with the lineup outside of all the SF2 characters. That seems to be the general concensus.

They need to get rid of ken and replace him with either (a more powerful) Dan or Sean imo. Then have Ken as an unlockable to force people to use the new/lesser-used characters.

Karin needs to come back and also R.Mika so she can air grab that skinny bitch and pound her to the pavement where she belongs. uum err sorry just I hate people who use karin.

Also Gen needs to come back. He was the coolest character in Alpha 2 and imo his unique style would add some depth to the lineup. Hes the only character in Alpha 3 who can chain any normal attack into other normal attacks (jab, short, strong, forward, fierce, roundhouse all as a 6 hit combo! ...if you could somehow connect them - point being they are cancelable) bar Guy who has his FF combo. It's as if he was designed for a vs game.

And oh yes bring in blanka lol. Blanka is da man! There needs to be at least 1 mutant or cheesy character that is easy to use and dangerous and powerful at a basic level.
Blanka or necro with thier electricity and surprise attacks will even out all the excessive fireballs and set up moves and shit in these games.

There seems to be 2 types of versus games:

MVC style ones where any character from any capcom game is likely to fit in (eg megaman)

Fighter-only vs games: people who are suitable based on thier history as fighting game characters. (no Jill from RE in a cvs game for eg).

Capcom and SNK need to create whole new characters that make thier first appearance in these games (made especially for these series only - never appeared before) to draw crowds imo.

For example I would like to see a Lyn Kurosawa-like character from AvP who combines ninja and military combat styles (a combination of guile and ibuki) in the game but as a new character.

On the SNK side they could put in some more circus freak mutants (too many pure martial artists imo) to even out their side and this might allow capcom to include some of thier more strange darkstalkers characters (powered down) for inclusion. All we ever see is morrigan. Instead of Shin Akuma have Demitri as a boss for once. I've always wondered how a vamp would stand against weakling humans with fire coming out of hier hands and special wind blast from thier feet. Oh well maybe in the second games.
