Did you see it live too? My god that was some intense tv. Did you stay up for the take over of the parade grounds, where Saddam holds his military parades? At one point they had a split screen up, on the left was the Iraqi Minister of Information stating live that there were no tanks in Baghdad, they'd killed 3/4 of the invading troops and that the remaining Coalition forces were committing suicide outside the walls of the city; on the right was the live feed of the takeover of the parade grounds a couple of blocks away and the tape of the blowing up of a statue of Saddam that took place about 10 seconds before the Iraqi defense minister went on.

    --Scourge .

**edit** changed Minister of "Defense" to "Information"

I don't know. It was about 1:30am CMT live. I doubt they'd replay it the way they showed it live, with the split screen. They've been showing tape of the information minister this morning and tape of the Coalition Forces activity, but not like they did live.

With the Daylight Savings Time time change over here I couldn't go to sleep last night. With the time difference between here and Baghdad, there's a lot that happens in the middle of the night, our time. The embedded journalist for Fox and his cameraman did some amazing work last night.

**edit** said "defense" minister; it was the minister of information.

I started watching right after the info minister/Saddam statue. But yeah, I watched a lot of it live.

I wish I could've seen Baghdad Bob talking about how they weren't in the city and ... pop pop pop! Everyone goes running.

It's been incredible to watch this action live on TV. Talk about an open war (of sorts).

Chaoof: Not sure if they'll replay everything, it seems Fox is replaying a lot of their video.

Greg Kelly, ladies and gentlemen. And yes, what a job he and his camera guy did. He, Rick Leventhal and Ollie North have all been excellent the entire time.
bastard of the new world order.

  5. Boycotting is a good way of showing that you don't agree or support them, 24 million wanting someone to get fired from their job for having a different opinion seems fucked up.
And it's not just about crappy actors, actresses, singers etc complaining, though it's not like the 50's people are starting to compare the situation and I just wanted to hear what you know about the matter.

And this is what we call, in these parts, a "contradiction". In essence you say, "Boycotting is a good way to show that you don't agree with someone. But boycotting someone because you don't agree with them isn't a good thing."

    Which is it?

And who are these 24 million people you speak of?

EDIT: Possible chemical weapons found. I'm taking this with a grain of salt but it is interesting nonetheless.

EDIT 2: MSNBC also reports. Still, the grain of salt exists. No belief until confirmation, this time.

ALSO: Washington Post/NPR reporting chemical-armed missiles found.
bastard of the new world order.

Immigrant soldiers fighting in our army - neat stuff, eh?

    Marines met with 'Kill Saddam'

NPR reporting that we've found chemical weapons. Might be false, of course, but "NPR, which attributed the report to a top official with the 1st Marine Division, said the rockets, BM-21 missiles, were equipped with sarin and mustard gas and were "ready to fire." It quoted the source as saying new U.S. intelligence data showed the chemicals were "not just trace elements."" More definite than the other stuff we've heard.

Really interesting comparison of British and US techniques when entering a country like this.

"Chemical" Ali is now definitely dead, too (we've got his corpse, alongside a couple of other prize bastards.)

So, we've got Saddam's Baghdad palace, Baath headquarters, Baghdad International, we can roll through Baghdad any time we want. When do we declare victory?

This really has been an unbelievably well executed war up until now. I love this country.

Might I take the opinion of naysayers and say...

    IT'S GONNA BE A QUAGMIRE!
