I'll get one as soon as I sell one of my kidneys to someone! ....Or wait for my paycheck....
It's damn cute, B! I'm kinda worried 'bout the shoulder buttons, though. Does it hurt/strain yer hands much?
Post your impressions here.
So far, I personally love it sans the annoying specks of dust (better quality control air-tight quality please?) The controls are very responsive, and I had my first true go at it playing SFA3 Upper. I was surprised how easy I could pull off Charlie's V-Ism custom (still wish the GBA had buttons). I can't compalain as much as Burg, but I can see how the lacking ergonomic design will make many feel uncomforable from the former model. That was for all argument sake, the most comfortable of the two. The screen seems bigger, but of course, this is a simply an illusion (optical illusion as burg calls it) due to the thinner frame. The system seemed louder to me too, but I prolly just imagined that. I am pretty adjusted to loading games from the bottom and since I have no major interest in the GBA's E-Reader, I am satisfied overall. Now if only they had built in that headphone jack from the start...
Now, back to finding a vaccum.![]()

No. my hands aren't very big...it's not as comfortable to hold as the GBA
Bahn, I know what you mean about the headphones. I love playing my GBA w/ headphones....sounds a lot better.Isn't the jack/adapter like $5.00 for the SP?
It's all about the New York Islanders!!!
You aren't imagining it - the SP is definately louder. The screen is nicer than my Afterburned GBA, but it's not a huge improvement or anything. I prefer the buttons the SP. And I don't find it uncomfortable at all. It was awkward at first, but after a few minutes I got used to it. I think it's more comfortable for me than the old GBA was - my hands would get a bit crampy after awhile with the old one, but I was stuck in a car for hours today with nothing but my SP and Pokemon and my hands didn't bother me at all. I dig it a lot.
The same as you guys. I really love the desgin, and i notice that sounds louder, and maybe better? The screen is nice, once you go light, you never go back.

One of the micro kits, includes a spilt, thing for car adaptor, and headphones.. so that sounds cool..
ooo i would love a car adapter.
The headphone set that was released at my local ebgames was a plug-in headphone jack (with no pass-thru for the recharger) and a set of bud earphones for $8. It is the only option for three weeks until the macro kit comes out.
On the SP itself - is the screen smaller? It just looked smaller to me. The unit is very lightweight and feel effortless to hold. The light in the monitor is well done and very easy to play by. I like the button placement (I haven't had to use the L and R buttons yet. I am worried about gbc games and how far out of the unit they will extend and the comfort of holding the unit with them in. Lack of a headphone jack is certainly a design flaw - seems that would have been easy to add.
A very cool looking game system that I find easy to play on.

I borrowed it from someone a couple weeks ago and was really impressed with it. The design is much better, the backlit screen kicks ass, and the controls are fine once you get used to them. I think the flip-down cover is a great addition--I was always afraid that I would scratch my GBA screen if I stuffed the system in my pocket, and now I won't have to worry about that with the cover. I'll definitely pick it up within the next month.
