Thread: Best use of licensed music.

  1. Best use of licensed music.

I'm listening to the Jet Set Radio and Bust a Move soundtracks and to my knowledge they have some licensed music in them. It works well in these games, guess cause it's not music I hear on the radio or something. What games does licensed music make better or worse? I think the Tony Hawk series makes good use of the licensing for what I've heard of the soundtracks, seem to go with skateboarding. But that's all I can really think of...

  2. Wipeout XL--it revoltionized the whole concept of licensed music in games. Frequency is also up there.

  3. Anybody who mentions a game in this thread that doesn't have the word "WipeOut" in its title is incorrect.

  4. Wipeout and the Beatmania series. Hell, any music game.

  5. Vice City was pretty good. As were WOXL and WO3.
