Wipeout XL--it revoltionized the whole concept of licensed music in games. Frequency is also up there.
I'm listening to the Jet Set Radio and Bust a Move soundtracks and to my knowledge they have some licensed music in them. It works well in these games, guess cause it's not music I hear on the radio or something. What games does licensed music make better or worse? I think the Tony Hawk series makes good use of the licensing for what I've heard of the soundtracks, seem to go with skateboarding. But that's all I can really think of...
