Very good.

This bar called Cipriani Dolce, in Grand Central Station in NYC, looks like it'd just be some sort of overpriced knock-off of some well known restaurant. It's not; they make the best Sidecars I've ever had. Sidecars have cognac, Cointreau, and lemon juice in them - a couple of weeks ago, I had two of them and an okay Carpaccio, but something just sort of clicked: the cocktails were really good, I was happy to be returning home for Spring Break, very satisfying.

There's a place called Caviar Russe in NYC, mainly a caviar store, but they've also got this little restaurant above the storefront. A while back, I went there for a snack (a horrifically expensive snack, it turns out), and had about 2oz of Sevruga (which I like most of all the types), a couple of figs that had been soaked in armagnac and stuffed with good foie gras, and about 3 or 4oz of iced Belvedere vodka. Great, great stuff.

Man, thats incredible and intimidating - have you ever attempted to eat a big slobbering hamburger?

  2. I love Puerto Rican food. Damn, can these people cook!

    - Chicken with Rice and fried, soft plantains.
    - Mofongo (fried plantain ball in chicken broth) with fried beef.
    - Vanilla or cheese custards and all types of local desserts
    - Sancocho (a kind of soup with all types of local vegetables and beef) with white rice.

I also love Chinese and Italain food (lasagna!).

    Beverages:

I don't drink alcohol and am trying to get off sodas. I love Snapples and am a Yoo-Hoo freak!

  4. I never cook real meals, just stuff like noodles and such. I'd cook more often if it wasn't for my passionate hatred for washing up (no dishwasher in my house).

A good Spaggetti Bolagnaise is simple, yet fucking great. Especially with a side of garlic bread.

My mum or dad cooks this stuff called "rich and beefy mince", which is mince, carrot, and corn in this rich and beefy sauce. You have it with rice. I think it usually has another name though...

Still, nothing beats simple 2 minute noodles. I eat them quite alot, as they are delicious.

any cheesy pasta is great too.

  5. cheesy fries with lots of bacon

Edit: Melf can you help me out for a sec. I need to know how to spell something as best I can figure it's spelled Hegenos. God I love that, as well as Alcapurias and Pastelijos. (help my spelling)

For those who are Puerto Rican impared:
Pastelijos is a fried patery shell with beef or poultry in it.
Hegenos is mashe potatoes rolled into a ball with beef in it which is than covered with a shell of flour, egg, and water and then fried.
Alcapurias are fried plantain bannanas with beef in the center and fried until nearly charred.

Edit: Also there's a cookie, who's name escapes me at the moment, that's made with corn meal, egg, water, and sugar that is then (as if you couldn't guess) fried and toped with more surar.
Tembleke is one of my all time favorates. It's a kind of gelatin made with coconut. and if served before it has a chance to gelatnize ( ) it's smooth and creamy.

Again any help you can give me with my bastardization of the spanish language Melf is greatly appreciated.

  7. I like pasta, spicy foods, and barbeque sauce.

We eat a lot of soup and salads at the house.

    And very, very, litte meat.

I used to be a vegetarian, but now I eat white meat fairly regularly.

But uhm...yea pasta overall is probably one of my favorite things.

  8. Vegetable Hunan with fried rice or lo-mein from Jin Jin (local Chinese take-out).
Home cooked spaghetti, just noodles and Prego sauce.
That's about all the good stuff I get to eat since I'm trying to lose weight.

  9. Spiral Sliced Honeybaked Ham and a coke.

  10. Rack of lamb, veal medallions, pine roasted walnut salmon, shark, grilled mahi mahi, tuna steak with wasabi, and any japanese noodles.
