Thread: Bernard Stolar leaves BAM!

  1. Bernard Stolar leaves BAM!

<img align="right" src="http://www.the-nextlevel.com/news/0303/ap_dreamcst_c.jpg">BAM! Entertainment has announced a change in their executive management: Bernard Stolar has left his role as President and Chief Operating Officer and will be taken over by Ray Musci, Chief Executive Officer. Reason cited is that Stolar wishes to "pursue other opportunities" though he will stick around as consultant for a while.

Stolar has led a colorful career in video games, to say in the least. He successfully launched the PlayStation in America, annoyed Working Designs fans during the Saturn era, successfully launched the Dreamcast, became CEO of Mattel Interactive, and was an advisory member for Zona before joining BAM! Entertainment, which has fallen on very hard times (with the money you're paying for your Internet connection in one month, you can probably buy enough of their stock to gain majority hold).

Aha! Once again the conservative sandwich-heavy portfolio pays off for the hungry investor.

  3. Ha!

And the only thing that could've made that post better if it was made on March 26. What? It was? Hooray!

  4. I hope BAM! gets its house in order. They are very nice and they put out the Fire Pro games in the US.

You know, maybe I will buy them out!

  5. Hell yeah! Hey, Nick... y'know, I've been thinking about getting a job in the industry and...

  6. Holy crap, that relationship sure as hell didn't last long. And Nick, I agree, more US Firepro games are definitely needed.

  7. I'll jump in on the Bam! buyout. We really need more FP games and I really want to see KotC localizied. Plus we can put a stop to their Powerpuff Girls games.

  8. Hey. Some of their powerpuff girls games were decent.

  9. None of their games were decent. Fire Pro is all fine and dandy but most of their other licenses suck hard. They've fallen on hard time cus they are putting out more crap then Acclaim which is a feat in itself.

  10. I'm not sure who's got the majority of BAM's stock, but I'm guessing that no one owns more than 20%. Buying 20% of their stock would cost $440,000 at the current price of $0.15/share.

Obtaining a certain majority share (51%) would mean buying about $1.12 million in stock.

    That's an expensive Internet connection.
