Joe seems like such a dumb character (and his dialogue is horrible) that is almost ruins it....

Just think of Joe as a Michealangelo/Rapahel mix from TMNT. Then it is all better. I think that was what they were going for.

But that's what they all seem to be going for.... when does it end? I seriously haven't known anybody that even pretended to sound like that because they erroneously thought it was once cool in years.

He's a silly parody character, so he's designed as an idiot with a dumb-as-hell costume. He says stupid crap in mock of the games/shows that do so seriously, but if his idiocy bugs you, then I would suggest not playing. I'm willing to bet they'll use his stupidity to continuously get him into worse situations, so you'll probably just get mad at him as the game goes on.

Well....it's basically the voice that gets to me. I mean, the dialogue is horrible IMO, but the voice just makes it shine with poopness even more. If I can turn off the voice, I'll for sure play, because the graphics-style is far to neat to ignore.

But I think that they have done a good job of it here. Unlike other games, the dialogue isn't THAT hideous that you wish you could punch the screen but rather "fun" enough that it allows you to have a light hearted look at it. And I am thankful somewhat that it turned out this way, after how much I hated Kamiya's other game, "DMC", which had pointless dancing scenes an incredibly infuriating dialogue the alternative would have been....

But hey! I want to play this game and even though the dialogue has been handled poorly I can't complain about something I haven't played. I'm more complaining on an industrywide level. That voice (valleyboy surfer 1982 sound) is just way too commonplace. All this audio technology in the games of today and all we get is Moon Unit Zappa's exboyfriend playing the lead in every nonserious game. Boooo!

Oh yeah, plus I think he played Steve in Code Veronica.
