Taking time to master is fine.

Taking 14 hours to start to enjoy is not.

I'm not saying this game is good or not. I don't know. I'm still sorta interested in this game, but wouldn't go out of my way to get it, even if I had a GC.

But what you said does sound like you're defending a crappy game.

    Just being honest here.

    Word. Life's too short.

  3. Just for the record I was digging the game 2 hours in. The first hour had me getting used to the odd control scheme, the next hour I got wrapped up in it and never thought twice.

Now that I've put in a good 10 hours with P.N.03 I can recommend it to most of the people on this board. If you dig action games, P.N.03 delivers.

For what it's worth I disliked Gunvalkyire immensely. No matter how hard I tried the mechanics never clicked with me (and try I did). Not that it matters. After all, besides an alien world and female characters GV and P.N.03 don't have much in common.

  4. I trust no one, least of all game reviewers.

I say, if you have an interest in the game...fucking try it.

Game reviewers are absolute morons. Period.

If I had listened to the bullshit they spew out, I would NEVER have played Wetrix. Wetrix got like straight 2's in Gamepro and was panned by every other magazine on the face of the earth.

It's one of my all time favorite games now and all the complaints they had about it were quickly dispelled by actually paying attention to what you were doing.

Same thing happened with Fighter Maker, it got dissed...the game rules if you take the time to play it, although knowing how to animate helps as well.

It happens every day, all the time. If you see something you're interested in..try it, don't take anyone else's word for it because 9 times out of 10, they don't know thier ass from a hole in thier ass.

  6. My first session with P.N. 03, shortly after it came out, was not very positive. Curiosity sated, I didn't touch it again.

I picked it up again yesterday, for preview purposes, and actually found it to be quite enjoyable. This is, I think, not a bad game.

Okay, the reason it took me so long to get into it is b/c I suck at street fighter games and it took me near forever to get the special moves down. Now some other people who don't have this problem are apparently getting it in less time.

If you played the game then you can tell me what you think. Otherwise, your opinion as to whether you feel this or that is irrelevant.

  8. People are raving about the music. I think I'll give this game a shot just for that.

  9. The game does have a ton of "problems" that one could go off on for hours, but in light of those problems the game is still playable and can be quite fun. In the end though, the game is still just a rental and nothing more.

  10. I'll most likely rent it before buying it. I might also wait for it to hit a low price like 20-30. It sucks because I'd like to support Capcom and their GC games to keep bringing out exclusives but if they didn't put in that much effort into it then screw that.

Still I've yet to play it and I'd like to when it comes out.
