Damn..That's a nice set-up.
I'm going to be straight-up honest. I love Who Framed Roger Rabbit?. It's easily one of my favorite movies of all time. The blend of animation into live-action is nothing short of awesome.
While the Vista Edition DVD was released last week, I wasn't able to get it until now. I've yet to watch it but I will review it later for Nerv. However, I felt like commenting on the packaging and slapping out some pics for anyone else interested in the DVD.
The set (currently less than $16 at Whale Mart) contains 2 DVDs. One for fullscreen, labeled 'Family Friendly' and the second is the widescreen version marked 'Enthusiast'. Undoubtedly the latter will be played most as I dislike fullscreen.
The packaging is nifty. You get a slipcase with the standard cover (Eddie, Roger and Jessica in Benny the Cab). Inside you've got the disc holder which is made up to look like a leatherbound case. You've got both DVDs in plastic trays on the right and a pocket on the left which contains two 'signed' pictures. One 'from' Roger and the other, Jessica. Also contained in the pocket is a little teaser for the special additions to the discs, a $5 rebate if you purchased earlier versions and a coupon for 35 tokens at Chuck E. Cheese. I threw the last two in the trash.
In any case, here are a couple of snaps of the packaging. I look forward to the actual viewing.
The slipcase and disc holder.
The goods.

Damn..That's a nice set-up.
Great Movie, I loved it. I saw it with a buddy of mine back in grade School, I should check it out again to see if it stands the test of time.
Excellent movie. I'll have to pick it up this summer when I actually have a job/money to afford it. Thanks for the pictures!
Wow, that is one kick ass set. I might just have to get that (Read: I'll always say "Hey, I want this" but never buy it)
Me want! Roger Rabbit issch a good movie.. I have the old VHS and we watch it all the time... this DVD is defenately a must buy...
Got it Friday at Wacky Wally's and I verymuch enjoy the packaging as well as the extras.
Picked it up the day it came out at Best Buy. They were offering a special, if you bought another Disney DVD with it you'd get $5 off, so I got Nightmare Before Christmas SE with it for only $9.99
Who Framed Roger Rabbit was one of my favorite movies as a child, still remember seeing in the theatres when I was 8 (man I feel old) and loved every moment of it. Seeing Mickey Mouse & Bugs Bunny on the screen simultaneously and actually interacting with one another is still one of the most incedible things I have ever witnessed to this day. Honestly, I think I still remember the day I saw it in the theatre there were actually kids AND parents with their mouths hanging wide-open seeing that on screen![]()
omg TNL epics!
I love this film as well. Cool looking dvd set too. I knew it was coming out, but havent actually seen how it looks. I will be definately picking it up sometimes soon.
