Thread: Def Jam Vendetta en route to retail shelves

  1. Def Jam Vendetta en route to retail shelves

Electronic Arts announced the release of the highly anticipated urban fighting game Def Jam Vendetta has shipped to stores for PS2 and Gamecube platforms. (Dang, no love for Xbox eh?)

It's the first unique game featuring a bevy of old school and modern-day hip hop/rap artists including Ludacris, Method Man, Ghostface Killa. DMX, Redman and of course - DJ Funkmaster Flex. Oh, and Christina Millian is up in this piece too!

Set in a fictional NY-themed underground circuit, the game features 12 stunning 3-D urban venues each filled with animated crowds, hot beats and original music. Many of the venues are themed after a Def Jam artist boss such as DMXs venue, "The Junkyard" which is filled with the resonance of his signature barking pit bulls while Ludacris' venue, "Club Luda" stays true to Luda's southern hospitality in his exclusive gentlemen's club.

In any event...hopefully you've been smart to recognize how tight this game is. EA's definitely got a winner on their hands. Step up to your local game shop tomorrow and grab a copy.

  2. I'd mention that Aki developed Def Jam, but this is ALL A BIG LIE!

I thought they did do the fighting engine? EA just did everything else, right?
