I see your point... but the fact that this even happened made my stomach turn to the point where that was a very fitting thread name for me... it absolutely sickens me that there are French who would do something like that to a graveyard of fallen British who died defending France. "Scum" was an ample word I believe... I suppose the worst one can accuse me of is using somewhat coarse language that is easy to recognize and evokes a certain reaction... but one can definitely not accuse me of anti-France, cause that's simply not the case.

However, anti-les-Anglo-Saxonism is widespread in France. Anti-semitism is widespread in France, at times, conveniently couched in anti-zionism. Keep denying it and it'll keep spreading - it's happened before, and it'll happen again. I'd fear for French Jews if not for the fact that I trust in the power of America and Israel.

I don't hate the French - I hate the politics they've adopted, and I hate what those politics will do to a possibly great country. Britain was on the edge of falling into a France-like situation back in the 70s: thanks to Hatcher, it's come back out of that pit, and it's ascending once again. Maybe one day they'll figure shit out, learn how to run a real democracy, and capitalize on the amazing potential of France. I'm not holding my breath.

In England there aren't really any clear jewish areas though whilst there is in France (Paris, Marseille etc) so they're a far more recognisable minority.
