What do you guys use to play import games?
I know there are quite a few ways to go about modding a PS2 for import such as a chip or the shell/disc method...what is the best way to play imports on the machine...especially in terms of do it yourself? Im no slouch when it comes to the old soldering iron, but the chips for the PS2 seem like they have a few more wires than Im used to...

boc: Mondop said he tried some kind of solderless mod disc swap solution. You should ask him how it's been working out.
i know a guy using this http://www.ps2case.com/

how exactly would one play imports with those?
good question. from the website, it looks like you would need a boot disk of some sort.
I do believe you get a swap disc and the soderless mod chip its bassicaly a disc swap but you dont have to press the open draw button that normally resets the PS2
it reads the disc says ok you open the lid and put in the import and it plays it
