I've been toying with the idea of getting one since I found out about the damn thing! I haven't convinced myself of a real reason to own one right now though... :/
I'm sure there's gotta be someone that owns one... I'm interested in investing in one (after already putting $100 down on a GBASP). Seems like a worthwhile investment. Very interested in learning how to develop software for the thing.
Anyhoo, just want to know what people's views on the system are.

Boo, Hiss.
It's tempting. www.insertcredit.com has a ton of GP32 coverage and the games look great in stills. But from what I understand most titles are framely and poorly designed. A shame as the potential is there... *-neo
I was much more interested in GP32 before it came out. The prototype hardware designs seems so much cooler than the lacklustre design the finally came out with. Plus, the software seems pretty lacklustre as well... shame..
I think if I get a new handheld I'll buy a WonderSwan before I pick up a GP32.![]()
Wonderswan over GP32? BAH. Does the WS have anything that compares to hits such as Dyhard: With Infinite Stairs or Tomak The Shooting? No. It does not.
I was going to buy one of these back when it launched, but lik-sang sold out of them quick. And by the time they got them back in stock they didn't have any copies of Tomak the Shooting. So I didn't care about buying one anymore. Yes.
I'm still interested in the GP32, I just hope by the time I'm making money and can afford one they won't be all but unheard ofTomak: Save the Earth Again looks fantastic (though apparently it's only good with a 'patch.' What the hell is a 'patch' in handheld gaming?), and Her Knights is supposedly very good. Dungeon and Guarder looks pretty good too. Oh, and Astonishia Story R looks GREAT, I really wish that were in English though

The main draw for the GP32 is homebrew stuff. Check out these links:

All those games are either readily available elsewhere, or I already own in a portable format.Originally posted by Yoshi

I don't read Japanese, so the RPG's are useless to me.
Dick.
Boo, Hiss.
And the important thing is that those games don't suck total dick on other formats. Wonderswan blows.
