1. The World Warriors return!

By far, Street Fighter has become more than just a household name, it's practically an icon to our gaming culture here and abroad. In an exciting news announcement that's bound to excite many fighting enthusiasts, Street Fighter is making a comeback to the comic book realm once more. And I must say, it's showing a lot or promise that I want to see more of it in a "I want to marry it" sort of way.

According to an announcement from Image Comics, UDON has obtained the license to develop comics based upon Capcom's world-renowned fighting franchise scheduled to run this September. A special "sneak peek" book will give fans a chance to preview the syndicated series in August.

The comic will be released worldwide, with the exception of Asia (odd..) Street Fighter will be written by Ken Siu-Chong, whose past credits include Marvel's Taskmaster, X-Men Unlimited, Fantastic Four and Mangaverse: Avengers Assemble. Siu-Chong is currently working on WildStorm's Robotech. The artwork for Street Fighter will be handled by a rotating creative team that includes Alvin Lee (Deadpool and Agent X artist), Arnold Tsang and Andrew Hou. Lee and Tsang will be doing the black-and-white art, while Tsang will also be doing colors with Hou.

"We couldn't be more pleased to add Street Fighter to the Image lineup," said Image Publisher/Vice-President Jim Valentino. "What Erik Ko and his crew have done with these characters is truly stunning, and whether you're a long-time fan of the video game or you just like great-looking comics, you're going to want this book!"

I want it...and if you're a solid person of character that knows good art, you should too. Take a look at some of the images below. Special thanks to Will and Comics Continuum for the heads-up!

2. Could it really be?
Can this fianlly be true?
At long last a comic to replace Malibu comic's Street Fighter as worst Street Fighter comic ever. But will it be able to unseat Street Fighter the movie as crappiest SF related merchandise ever? Only time will tell but I believe UDON can do it.

I can't wait to see this, artwork looks too good. Plus any hot sexy Chun-Li action is all good with me.

5. *Squints*

No Cammy The art looks nice though, and I used to be an Image fan when I was into comics. Soooo...I'm there =D
Play Guitar Hero //

6. Count your blessings. No T-Hawk, Dee Jay, or Fei Long either!

I've been looking forward to a good story with the core cast of SF2 for a while. This looks like it might rock.

I see Akuma... hooray!

8. Malibu comics Street Fighter series was awesome. Too bad they made a total of 3 issues. Of course I haven't read them in years but still

I remember Sagat killed Ken and there was a part where Blanka slaughters some guys. That's about it

9. Thanks for the props Bahn.

I'm going to pick up every issue and variant and a variant of that variant and a variant of a special edition variant.

10. I had better get some Sakura love outta this too. She's almost as cool as Chun-Li, and Cammy being third.
