Honestly the graphical repition bothered me more than the gameplay repitition. I think the action was solid, but the environs were uninteresting.

Yep. I like it alot. Even though there ARE camera problems, the gameplay is very challenging and fun.

Could the graphics be prettier? Sure. Could the vertical stage have been set up better? Sure. Can I see how other people wouldn't like it very much. Sure. Do I like it better than the old Shinobis? Oh hell yes. Do I think it's an inredible action game, among some of the best ever? Damn straight.

I like it a lot, which surprises me because I really thought I wouldn't after reading all the threads relating to it on this board. I don't really notice too much about the level design, though I guess that would be a sign that they're fairly boring. My biggest gripe would be the camera, though in this day and age I've come to experience that with nearly every 3D game containing action/platforming elements. It's a solid, fun and fast-paced action game, and definitely worth the $29.99 you can find it for nowadays.

I thought it had a ton of style, great gameplay and some great ideas. But it was so damn hard that it got incredibly repetitive towards the end. I had to force myself to plow through 7A - that one jump towards the end was just evil. I'm also not sure the tate idea was implemented as well as it could have been - there are some sections where it's just not possible (as near as I can tell).

Unless they do alot to rejig the concept, I'm not sure I'd pick up a sequel. I still think it's the best game (that I've played) in the series, though. Miles ahead of Revenge.

I agree with pretty much everything said here. The later levels are damn hard though.

Why haven't Sega released it over here yet? It's one of their bigger titles so it doesn't make any sense.
Blah might as well import in case some other party brings it over and I'm left without 60hz.
