It bored me.
But I'll buy once it hits the sub $20 range.
yep
no
I really like the game, except that I'm stuck on the last boss and there is no way you can tell me that beating him is up to anything other than sheer luck. Skill will get you only so far, the rest is up to fate and I'm fucking tired of going for that 1/1000 chance of the planets aligning so I can beat the bastard.

That about sums it up. I rented it and didn't beat it, so I plan to buy it when I see it for a reasonable price.Originally posted by NeoZeedeater
I definitely like it. It has tons of style and tate is really cool. The level designs are boring though.
Well that's like, your opinion, man.

You can never be one of the dead, because something that has no existence can have no community.

I love Shinobi! It's not just my favourite PS2 game.... but it's one of my favourite games ever. It has so much style and the gameplay is exquisite.
dogs with blades in ther mouths--tehy are teh death. I wonder why they only show up in Stage 4A.
Yeh, me too... but it just makes it that much more rewarding killing the bastards! Especially once you get skilled enough to TATE them in rapid succession without taking a hit..Originally posted by Chemist

Ahhh, now that's the real ultimate power.![]()
Shinobi is awesome, I love it. It does get frustrating at times though and I wish the levels were more busy like Rygar's but the game is good. Lives up to the name totally, I can't wait for Shinobi 2 but I'll miss the TATE kills. Maybe they'll come up with another cool gimmick who knows.
I sure can tell you it's more than sheer luck. A waiting game is nessecary for obtaining a full contingent of cannon fodder, and then you have to judge the beginning of his patterns to determine when to start the Tate. It's tough as hell, but it can be done.Originally posted by Green

I can back up Mech on that... like with many of the bosses, he seems impossible for a while but once it clicks, beating him is very possible. Hard, but possible. Its a great challenge.
I have not played in a while. I look forward to taking on that bitch in hard mode.![]()
