Thread: Anyway to take out that Blockbuster transparent CD sticker

  1. Goo Gone does wonders, it can take off anything. Like those stickers that you peel off and it leaves that "VOID VOID VOID" residue stuff, its like pait and Goo Gone just eats it up.
    Barf! Barf! Barf!

  2. Yeah...i can never understand the motivation behind ANYONE defacing a cart or CD...i see so much of it. That's why that indian over there is crying!

Something worse that hasn't been mentioned yet that i've also seen: Scratching, burning or engraving names into cartridges. Now that copy of "Galaga" in the break room is forever "Jim's"

    Jerk!

Goo Gone is great, but its too powerful. When I was working at EB, they had those security stickers all over the monitor. I took Goo Gone, and started using it on the monitors casing..next thing you know it, the casing is sizzling and melting. Not to mention you can get high on just inhaling it..worse than permanent marker.

  4. Copy... the... disc. You own it!

    WTF?

Are you sure you were using Goo Gone?

I've used it on many, many different surfaces and it has never hurt any of them. There is no possible way that it could melt the plastic casing of a monitor.

Also, Goo Gone does not smell very strongly at all.

Joe, and Kevin tend to be small children who's mommy makes them write their name on everything they own... including their underwear.

    Don't be a hater.

  8. Okay, I have successfully removed that damn sticker from the dvd! Yes! Now I just need to apply googone and remove some of the more sticky part!

Rez for $12.99.... wow. My first PS2 game!

Goo Gone will remove Joe and Kevin also.

It works great on permanent marker written on plastic or paper.

Maybe if there weren't so many shady thieves, people wouldn't have to resort to such tactics. I haven't done such to my things, but God knows I've thought of it quite a few times thanks to assholes who can't keep their hands to themselves.
