Thread: Best Versions of Games?

  1. Best Versions of Games?

I figured that with alot of people on the board here owning either two or more consoles and a good deal of cross platform releases out there it would be a good idea to start a thread where people can go to see what the differences are or which ones are better. This doesn't have to apply to new games either. If you want to compare versions of the "Lunar" games go ahead. Just so long as they're pretty much the same game. No comparing the Gamecube version of "Splinter Cell" to the GBA version. I think it would be better if you post your thoughts that you've at least played the different versions, but hey, that's just me. Also, should this be a sticky or should we just try to keep it up top?

This has been tried before, to no avail. I'd like to see this thread become a sticky. I'd find it hella useful.

For example, which version of Batman: Vengeance should I get?

  3. lets just not let this turn into another Soul Calibur 2 thread...

  4. Wasn't sure if the question was hypothetical, but.......

Batman Vengeance is the best on the Gamecube. Its a highly under rated game, and I actually found it to be quite fun.

  5. Go spodady styles

It's easy, just add the phrase 'best on the GameCube' to any multi-platform game and you've done it.

  6. Matt's obsession with me continues.....I've already got a g/f Matt

  7. I think that the GC has the best versions of every game thats on gamecube which is, consequentially, all the games I like. Any games that are by some strange chance better on other systems are either not important, not good or are on GBA. If they're not on GCN then they obviously did not pass Nintendos quality standards (Miyamoto!) and are thus garbage.

So yeah, all multiplatform games are hands down better on GCN (Miyamoto!).

The most glaring one recently is Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2. The PS2 version completely destroys the GC, Xbox, and PC versions, thanks to EA's laziness with the ports.

  9. Soul Calibur 2 is best on Xbox (720p and 5.1) and looks the nicest when using comparitive outputs. That's an obvious one though.
