Although I agree, don't forget that this was made in the 80's.
I know all of you have seen bad movies. Hell, I love 'em. They seem to bring a smile to my face sometimes, in the "so bad it's good" category. Movies like Zombie Lake or Playing God.
Then I saw the Roger Corman produced Fantastic Four.
This movie was made for a measly $1 million dollars, and boy does it show. Don't get me wrong... the Dr. Doom costume looks pretty cool, and the Thing is almost passable(until he raises his arms above his head), but the cons seriously outweigh the pros.
Acting : Ye gods. The acting makes the movie seem like it was made by a high school sophomore drama class. overacting at its worst.
Story : Does an almost faithful telling of the FF's origin, but quickly falls apart thereafter.
VFX : Let's just say that there are people on this board with better image editing then this movie had.
All in all, Fantastic Four might be worth going all MST3K on it, but I don't even think they would accept it.
Here's a bit of trivia from Stan "Teh Man" Lee himself : In an interview with filmmaker Kevin Smith , Fantastic Four creator Stan Lee said that, unbeknown to the cast and crew, this movie was never intended to be released, and was made only because the studio who owned the rights to make a Fantastic Four movie would have lost the rights if they did not begin production by a certain date.
Although I agree, don't forget that this was made in the 80's.
Actually, it was made in '94.
Before the Movie was canned I saw the Trailer for it in the theatres, looked cool then. The Movie is only availible as a bootleg now.
